On her biggest hit, Disney star Selena Gomez sings, "Everything comes naturally."
That phrase could just as easily be her career philosophy.
After reaching stardom on the Disney Channel show "Wizards of Waverly Place" and movies such as "Princess Protection Program," she made a natural switch to singing last year. Her debut disc, "Kiss & Tell," went gold and its first single, "Naturally," hit platinum.
Now Gomez, who turned 18 two weeks ago, is quickly maturing to the point where young Disney stars have to change or disappear. But she's not taking the career path of Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus and becoming shockingly adult.
Her first feature-length film is "Ramona and Beezus" (Gomez plays the latter, Ramona's teen-age sister), a G-rated adaptation of the Beverly Cleary children's novels which opened two weeks ago.
